About Carlson Heating, Cooling & Electric Company

Ray JenningsAfter being in business for 60 years, we have worked on just about every brand in existence.

Every good business succeeds by finding customers’ needs and then satisfying those needs. Ray Carlson knew this when he founded Carlson Heating Company back in 1955. He knew that he could help people with their home heating needs and do a better job of it than his competition. Ray knew that providing quality service, fair pricing and a commitment to treat people the way that he would want to be treated would be the way to build the business.

Over the years, satisfied customers helped the business grow. In the 1960s, home air conditioning became popular. In the 1970s, customers wanted us to take care of their increased electrical needs, so we developed the technical expertise to become Carlson Heating, Cooling and Electrical Company.

By the mid-70s, the business had grown to the point where Ray couldn’t run it all by himself anymore, so in the next decade his son Larry and daughter M-J joined the firm, becoming the second generation of Carlsons running the business. Carefully controlled growth led to Ray’s grandson Daryl joining in 1994, bringing the third generation into the business.

Giant corporations have big statements of corporate philosophy. We are not a giant corporation; we are just a nice-sized family owned and operated business with a family philosophy about running our company.

  • We do quality work
  • We price our services fairly
  • We stand behind our work
  • We treat our customers the way we would like to be treated

We have seen enormous changes in technology in our industry over the last 60 years and we have mastered those changes. But what hasn’t changed is our values. We still do business the old-fashioned way and take pride in our work. Our customers must agree because we are now servicing the homes of some of the grandchildren of our original customers!
